Your Holiday with Hucksters

A Week of Wonder

What is it like to spend a week in our ski chalets in France?

We don’t only strive to give you ski and snowboarding holidays at a great price but we also endeavour to make your holiday equally fantastic. In this guide, we’ll run through what happens when you get to our French ski resorts, our top tips and how many skiing experiences you can expect from a week’s holiday.

But first, here’s what your holiday with us could be like:

Your week with us:

  • Friday- Departure: A Snow Express coach picks you up from your departure point at an arranged time in the afternoon. We travel to Dover to reach France via the ferry where you have the opportunity for a meal in the bar or restaurants. From Calais, your journey continues as our modern ski coach travels through the night to ensure you see the sun rise over the mountain peaks (see our ski coach holidays page for more details).
  • Saturday- Arrival: Grab a drink and breakfast at the chalet, your luggage will be stored at the main dining room while you refuel. Staff will be on hand to provide you with your pre-paid lift passes and equipment vouchers so you’ll be ready to go, whenever you are! We’ll provide you with directions to the discounted ski and snowboard hire shop and help you arrange lessons if required. Go and enjoy a couple of hours on the slopes, your room will be ready from 3pm. Once you’ve settled into your new accommodation, join us in the bar for a drink before sitting down to a two-course meal with a glass of wine or beer. During dinner, our team will run through what is happening this week, the current snow conditions and introduce you to the staff and the resort.
  • Sunday: Spend another day on the slopes after breakfast, familiarising yourself with the resort and having a whole lot of snow fun! Ask our staff for any questions you may have and we’d be happy to help. In the evening, your three-course meal will be served with friends, both new and old. If you have the energy, you are invited to join us after dinner for our chalet pub quiz.
  • Monday: The choice is yours! Maybe you’re desperate to get back to skiing – whether it’s with an instructor or with your friends. However, if you fancy a day off, you can try one of the many off slope activities in our resorts. Ask our staff for more information and help organising your trips.
  • Tuesday: Ski or day trip. It’s a tough choice but if you ask us, we’ll always opt for every day on the slopes. In the evening our after-dinner activities include beer pong for a little bit of après fun. Be sure to ask our staff any questions you may have, Wednesday’s our day off!
  • Wednesday: Today our staff have a well-earned day off. A cold breakfast is served together with afternoon tea. For dinner, our guests take the opportunity to have a meal in a local restaurant. Our staff can help you with the arrangements for this earlier in the week should you need us to.
  • Thursday: After a day of activities, join us for an après ski drink on the mountain to watch the sun go down, then ski back down to the chalet for cake and mulled wine! For something a little different, you can head out for a night ski (depending on the time of the season) and experience skiing on a flood-lit slope before navigating your way back to the chalet (with our help).
  • Friday: Friday’s are for fun, and we use this day to dress up! Dress up as your favourite French character and join us for some of the best local cuisine cooked by our enthusiastic cooks. You can also participate in a round of boules.
  • Saturday- Departure: Guest flying home will leave early for their airport transfers. Guests travelling on the Hucksters Snow Coach will get ready for their final day of skiing and snowboarding. Make sure to pack your luggage and have it stored away by 9am so that we can make sure it makes it onto the coach. Showers will be made available when you get off the slopes so you can freshen up. The coach will start loading around 16:30 for your departure at 17:00 prompt.

It is not goodbye, simply au revoir until next year when you come back for more skiing in France with us!

I look each year to find a better value ski holiday and fail. I love the staff, the resort and the accomodation. And the coach, to me it makes flying very uncomfortable and un civilised, Dont change a thing Hucksters you are providing exactly what I want. Roll on next season......

By dispensing with things such as towels and complimentary toiletries (bring your own) and guaranteed en suite bathrooms, Hucksters has managed to create accommodation that is definitely communal and cheap but in that no-frills way that makes you feel pretty smug at the money you are saving. It has ...
