Once spring hits, the slopes become a little quieter and the landscape comes alive with nature. The days are longer, and on some days we even indulged in some sunbathing!!
The lifts have closed and most of our team have jet setted away for a well deserved holiday. End of season is always bittersweet for us as we say goodbye to our final guests. There is still snow on the ground across the French Alps – just enough to ski on, so we’ve been spoilt with a few days skiing all to ourselves.
This past season has been a busy one with better than expected powder conditions, so roll on Ski 2019/20! We've had so many season highlights including the Serre Che Grand Prix, tobogganing with guests and twilight skiing... sunbathing on deckchairs while snow was still on the ground, and our hosts at Le Petit Sport, Dave and Christine, have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the Serre Chevalier team.
In the meantime we’re in summer planning mode. Our ski boots will be replaced by hiking boots and we can’t wait for the weather to really sizzle so we can enjoy a BBQ on the terrace with a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Most resorts re-open their lifts at the end of June or beginning of July. Read on below to find out what our best bits from the 2018/19 season were. We'd love to see your season highlights, so please do share them with us on our Facebook page here.
If you're craving a skiing holiday, check out our Early Bird offer - hurry, you must book before 31st May to take advantage of low rates. In the meantime, how does a balmy summer in the French Alps sound? The Alps aren't just for Winter of course!!
